Sunday, May 12th 2019 – Mothers Day!

We are returning to Betsey Warrington Park at the Huntley Park District for our Cooley Run 5K and Superhero Dash! This is a family event for novice runners of any age, and includes a chip timed certified 5K course for the advanced runner.  Kids aged 4-8 can participate in a free Superhero dash competition!  Dress up as your favorite superhero!  Your 5K registration includes a chip timed 5K certified course, food, music, face painting, Mobile Gaming Theater, and an awesome CKMC T-Shirt!  Kids can also make a card for Mom at our craft table!

Back for 2019:  $100 cash prize, each for the overall male and female winner!

Racetime : 5K will start at 8:05am. (Superhero Dash will begin at approximately 9:00am)

Location: Huntley Park District – 12015 Mill St.  Huntley IL  (Betsey Warrington Park, near Stingray Bay)

Cost: Registration fees: $25 per person (until 4/28/19 – then $35).  Or you can save $15 and register a team/family of 4 for just $85.

Packet Pickup:  Morning of the race, beginning at 6:30am at Race location.  Early packet pickup date/location TBD).  Race Day registration is available at the registration pavilion beginning at 6:30am.

Parking info:  Enter Park District using Mill St. entrance, via Rt 47. Walk across baseball fields to Park.  Look for CKMC directional signs

Inclement Weather Policy:  The event will start rain, snow or shine. The event could be delayed due to lightning.

Refund Policy:  CKMC will not issue refunds in any situation, including but not limited to: inclement weather, family emergencies, medical emergencies, or event cancellation.

Bike/Stroller Policy:  Bicycles, in-line skate other wheeled vehicles (except wheelchairs and hand cranks) and dogs are NOT allowed on the course.  Baby joggers and strollers are permitted at the back of the running pack start line.  Please use caution on the paths, and be aware of your surroundings and other runners while using strollers.

Course cutoff time:  9:30am

MEDALS will be awarded for the top 3 in each age category:

12 and under, 13 to 18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, Over 60
