cancer kiss my cooley (CKMC) is partnering with Hospice and Palliative Care of Northeastern Illinois (HPNI) to provide Kisses of HOPE to every child in the agency’s care battling brain cancer.
Hope’s Friends, HPNI’s specialized pediatric program dedicated to helping children and their families affected by life-limiting illness live each day to the fullest with comfort and courage, will refer patients to CKMC to receive Kisses of HOPE.
Carter Kettner, son of CKMC president and founder Joe Kettner, was cared for by HPNI through the Hope’s Friends program. According to Joe, the care and love Carter received through Hope’s Friends was magnificent. Pediatric brain cancer patients fight for their lives and deserve to smile with a Kiss of HOPE.
The gift of a Kiss of HOPE is customized to each child and family. It could be:
• A special wish, gift, or dream that becomes a reality
• Financial assistance to help the family in challenging situations
• Fund raising assistance for the family
• Any other support deemed appropriate based on the child’s current needs
Kisses of HOPE can go a long way in creating moments of joy for pediatric hospice patients battling brain cancer. The partnership between cancer kiss my cooley and Hospice and Palliative Care of Northeastern Illinois can help make these happen.
